HP’s new printer can connect to the Internet, has a touchscreen

Hp PhotoSmart Premium comes with WiFi, bluetooth and and a touchscreen. The device is capable of downloading content and making purchases on the Internet and already has content for delivery providers in the form of USA Today, Google, Fandango, Coupons.com, DreamWorks Animation, Nickelodeon, web Sudoku, and Weathernews.

The device is not designed to surf the Internet but you can make purchases, for eg. book your tickets online and then print them directly through the printer.

HP has also launched an application store called HP app studio from where users can download apps on their device. HP seems to have taken cue from Apple on this one (iPhone and iPhone stores). The device can also print documents directly from an iPhone or iPod.

Experts in the industry have been quoted as saying that this device has paved way for a whole lot of possibilities. Providing users the ability to download content from the Internet and getting print outs without needing a computer terminal will indeed open ways for more innovative uses. One such suggestion is to get RSS feeds from newspaper agencies everyday on the device and printing your own newspaper with selective content.

The idea sure sounds attractive and e-readers like Kindle seems to have an unlikely competitor in this machine.The printer and HP app studio will be available in US in the fall.

Have you seen the movie "Cars" in which cute cars talked to each other.Well some way similar high-tech cars could be seen on roads in 2012,if all the things go in the right way.These cars won't actually talk but transfer different information.Team at University of Australia has designed a dedicated short range technology,that connects cars via WiFi and GPS to communicate.This would help to provide a safe environment for driving,as the cars could tell the others whats coming up that U-Turn !!

The data transfer would be done 10times in 1sec,to give a accurate information to you about the road.The system in an individual car would check the different road patterns and also check other surrounding,and then combining other information from different cars would give you final input.Moreover,if the dangerous situation arrives these high-tech can get control of your car like they can tighten your seat belts or ensure airbag opening etc.

Test drives of such cars have been done in Europe and US,and now they are planning to do it in Adelaide.Now Cohda Wireless & the University of SA are going for the development of this very system.It is highly expected that such cars would be on road in the year 2012.

World's First Flying Car Would be a Ferrari

The ever so fascinating imagine of flying cars,has driven designers and inventors to make unique and extra-ordinary designs to make it a reality.A team at Moller Int. has taken this challenge,and also claiming that the flying car will be out there in the market in two years.The car they are using for the project is a Ferrari,which adds a bit more to the excitement.

The car is named a "Autovolantor" is a Ferrari 599 GTB Model which is worth $319,653.The car would have a vertical take-off and it with its 8 powerful thrusters it will hover.Vents will tilt making the car go in forward motion.

The statistics for the future flying car are actually pretty impressive (only if they become real !!).Here they are as follows.

On Ground:
Speed - 100mph (150km/hr)
It will run 150 miles (200kms)

In Air:
Speed - 150mpp (200 km/hr)
It will run 75 miles (130kms)

To power the thrusters a special hybrid fuel and electric system would be used,generating 800 brake horsepower,and would cruise at a whooping 5,000 ft.

The prototype should be ready in 2009,costing about $800,086.
